The share of women in higher education and research reduces significantly in the doctoral and post-doctoral stages. Only about a half of women with bachelor’s degrees go ahead to have careers in research.

Our mission is to contribute to an increase in the number of women in this pipeline, by sharing information that will ensure preparedness and informed decision making. In addition to thematic expertise, our strength is in the real experiences that we document. By sharing the wonderful, the inspiring, the sometimes bad and unfortunately awful experiences of women in science, we make sure that this journey is less lonely for all of us, and that the sisterhood provides a source of motivation and a place where we can draw strength from in the pursuit of our goals.
