

Dr. Julia Hörnig studied law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt and at the Erasmus University Rotterdam with a focus on international trade and transport law. She then dedicated herself to research on the contractual design options for multimodal transhipment in the air-road combination. In the process, Julia Hörnig completed several research stays, including in Rome, Edinburgh, Rotterdam and Vienna, and was funded by the German Society for Transport Law. In 2018, she was awarded a doctorate in law by the University of Lucerne. After successfully completing her legal traineeship last year, the fully qualified lawyer became an assistant professor of commercial and maritime law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Julia Hörnig focuses on the topics of closed-loop supply chains and supply chains in the context of the circular economy.

Prof. Dr. Ella Roininen is Professor of International Management with focus on Gender, Diversity and Inclusion at Karlshochschule International University, Karlsruhe Germany. Prior to her current post, Ella led the Institute for International Management at Kalaidos University Switzerland, Zurich, and cross-cultural teams at IBM Global Technology Services in Zurich and the Benelux countries. Her further practical experience includes the fields of corporate training, communications, publishing, event management, travel and hospitality, and health care. Since 2009, Ella has been visiting professor at Amrita School of Business, Amrita University in Coimbatore, India, and independent speaker and educator for business, NGO and higher education organisations.
Ella aspires to raise consciousness towards the various historical and cultural systems and social norms, which lead to inequalities at structural as well as individual level. She works with the mechanisms of privilege and marginalisation, aiming to create spaces free of sexisim, genderism, racism, ableism and any further discrimination, empower and show how we can include ourselves and others through transferring the feminist theory to policies, attitudes and practices of inclusion.
